SAP Business Systems Support Specialist
Bergen Engines is starting a SAP S4/Hana in 2025. A Business Systems Support Specialist is responsible for providing functional and technical support for SAP applications, working with support partners to ensure system stability, troubleshooting issues, and collaborating with business users to find appropriate solutions.
Tasks and responsibilities:
- Provide first- and second-level support for SAP users across different business areas (e.g., FI, CO, SD, MM, SD, PP, QM, PS, as well as interfacing systems).
- Diagnose and resolve system issues, inform end users, mediate between support partners
and end users, and implement solutions.
- Support end users by answering queries related to SAP processes and functionality.
- Undertake training end-user training and create guides/documentation where necessary.
- Manage SAP user access, roles, and permissions based on company policies.
- Assist in SAP system patches and updates in collaboration with IT teams.
- Support the implementation and change of SAP functionalities, process improvements,
configuration changes and enhancements.
- Support data integrity by assisting with data validation and cleanup efforts.
- Assist users with SAP reporting tools, ensuring accurate data extraction and analysis.
- Ensure compliance with security and regulatory requirements related to SAP systems.
- Support audits by providing necessary system documentation, reports, logs, etc
Professional requirements:
- Strong knowledge of SAP modules relevant to the business (FICO, MM, SD, etc.).
- Experience in SAP troubleshooting and system administration.
- Understanding of SAP security, user access management, and authorization concepts.
- Ability to translate business needs to technical solutions.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Experience in SAP Datasphere and Analytics Cloud is a plus
- Good English skills is a must, Norwegian skills are helpful.
